Terms of Service
By downloading or using Vertic, you agree to these terms. Please read them.
1. What Vertic does
Vertic is a ski tracking app for iPhone. It records your runs, speed, vertical drop, and lift rides using GPS and motion sensors. Vertic is a personal tracking tool — it does not replace official resort information, avalanche bulletins, trail status reports, or safety advice from mountain professionals. You remain solely responsible for your own safety on the mountain.
2. No account required
Your session data, statistics, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. No account creation is required to use Vertic.
3. Subscription
Vertic offers a premium subscription that unlocks advanced features including extended statistics, offline maps, and additional tracking options. Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple manages all billing, renewals, and related matters.
4. Managing your subscription
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Restore purchases
If you reinstall Vertic or switch devices, use the Restore Purchases option with the same Apple ID to recover your subscription status.
6. Accuracy of tracking data
Vertic uses GPS and motion sensors to record ski sessions. Accuracy depends on device hardware, signal conditions, and terrain. We do not guarantee that recorded speeds, distances, vertical figures, or run counts will be error-free. Do not use Vertic data for safety-critical decisions.
7. No liability for mountain activities
Skiing and snowboarding involve inherent risk. Vertic is a logging tool only. We are not liable for accidents, injuries, missed lifts, incorrect resort detection, or any other outcome arising from your use of the app on or off the mountain.
8. Your data
You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter into the app. Do not store sensitive information beyond what is needed for ski tracking.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with Vertic; disrupt its operation; use it for unlawful purposes; or attempt to extract source code.
10. Changes to the app
We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time. We will do our best to communicate significant changes in advance.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of Vertic after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
